Multitrack
Recording
Most larger, multitracked
projects are usually booked in at least two sessions - one or more sessions
for tracking (recording your performance), and a separate session for
mixing.
Most bands will need to allow a total of one and a half to two hours
per song for the tracking and mixing combined.
We
use these guidelines for scheduling, but of course every band is different
- your recording could take more or less time depending on your recording
experience, style of music (punk bands usually take less time), how
well you know your songs, how mentally and physically prepared you are,
and simply whether you're having a good day or not. (Read our Recording
Tips
for advice on making your session go smoother.) We can help you determine
how much time to book when you call to schedule your session. All bookings
for multitrack recording require a 4-hour minumum per session.
Solo
Projects
(Vocal/Instrument Soloists, Karaoke, Acoustic Projects, etc.)
Solo
projects generally take much less time and can usually be mixed in the
same session. Make sure to book enough time to allow several takes and
mixing. Solo projects have a one-hour minimum for booking.

Our
recording rates is $30/hour, which
includes 1 copy of your final mix. Additional copies on CD-R are $3.00
each. Recording is available 6 days a week from

Recording
Media
We record your "master"
(the raw individual tracks) onto our 16-track digital hard disk recorder,
then mix your finished product onto CD-R. You
will go home from your final session with the finished mix on CD-R.
Additional copies
can be made while you wait.
About
Your Master
We also keep an archive of
your master (the raw individual tracks) in case you decide to remix
the project or overdub any tracks at a later time. The archive is in
a file format that is proprietary to our machine and is kept in our
files for 1 year from the date of the final session. If you wish to
take home the master tracks for use on another machine or to load them
into a computer, we can output the individual tracks for each song as
.WAV files on CD-R. This process is charged at our hourly rate.
